Copyist & Music Preparation

I work with individual composers to typeset handwritten scores, extract instrumental parts, prepare scores & parts for publishing, design custom house styles in Sibelius and design custom front matter pages.

I also work with the team at Jigsaw Music as a copyist.

Why hire a copyist? My job is to understand the music that you have written and ensure it’s laid out to give performers the information that they’ll need in the most streamlined and simple way - so that they can focus on the music itself.

Having sat in on many rehearsals and recording sessions for film and art music, I’m able to look at the music through a performer’s lens to think about the information that they might require or questions that they might ask, and find ways to answer these pre-emptively. This minimises talking time and maximises playing time in rehearsals!

Music Administrator

I have diverse logistical management, financial management & development experience in various roles across the arts, environmental management, and hospitality industries. I bring exemplary organisation, attention to detail and strategic thinking to my work.

I currently work for individual clients in the arts sector to assist with various jobs including catalogue and database management, website maintenance and design, event planning and production, and score printing. I enjoy taking care of many of the practical business tasks associated with being a creative, freeing up space and time for people to dedicate to their creative projects.
